Privacy Policy

Your substitute pay records are personal.

This policy describes how SubPay Log handles local records, support messages, purchases, exports, and privacy-safe analytics. Last updated: May 19, 2026.

Overview

SubPay Log is designed as a local-first personal recordkeeping app for substitute teachers. It helps you record assignments, expected pay, district pay periods, paycheck comparisons, and exports for your own records.

SubPay Log is not a district system, payroll portal, job finder, tax advice tool, legal advice tool, or official payroll document generator.

No district login

The app does not ask for district, school, payroll, HR, Frontline, or job-board credentials.

Local-first records

Assignment, school, district, pay, note, comparison, and export details are designed to stay on your device.

No cloud sync in MVP

The MVP does not provide account sync, cloud backup, or cross-device record storage.

Privacy-safe analytics

Analytics is limited to aggregate app usage and product interaction signals, not user-entered pay records.

Information You Enter

You may enter district names, school names, assignment dates, role titles, pay rates, quantities, expected pay, received pay, paycheck comparison notes, assignment notes, and pay schedule settings. These records are used to provide the app experience on your device.

Analytics

SubPay Log uses Firebase / Google Analytics to understand aggregate app usage, feature interest, app reliability, and purchase funnel behavior. The app's custom analytics events are limited to product interaction signals such as onboarding completion, district count, pay unit type, export type, paywall trigger, restore tap, and delete-all confirmation.

SubPay Log's custom analytics events do not include district names, school names, exact assignment dates, role titles, pay rates, expected pay, received pay, paycheck differences, notes, exported file contents, payroll credentials, or district/job platform credentials.

Firebase / Google Analytics may collect SDK-generated app instance identifiers, device and app information, and automatically collected events as described by Google. You can learn more in Google's Firebase privacy and security documentation and Google Analytics automatically collected events documentation.

Purchases

SubPay Log Pro is planned as a one-time lifetime unlock. When in-app purchase is enabled, purchase and restore activity will be handled by Apple, Google, and the purchase entitlement provider used by the app. Purchase systems may process purchase identifiers, entitlement state, receipts, and related diagnostics needed to unlock or restore Pro features.

Exports

If you export a PDF or CSV, the exported file contains the records you chose to include. Exported files are personal records. They are not official payroll documents. You control where exported files are saved or shared after export.

Support

If you contact support, your message may include the contact information and details you choose to send. Do not send district login credentials, payroll credentials, or sensitive documents unless specifically requested through a secure support process.

Deleting Data

The app is planned to include a delete-all action for local records. Deleting local app records removes districts, schools, assignments, paycheck comparisons, export history if present, and nonessential local settings from that device. Store purchase history is managed by Apple or Google and may be restorable where available.

Children

SubPay Log is intended for adult workers and is not directed to children.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the app, purchase setup, support process, or store disclosures are finalized. The current version will be published on this page.
